Unlike standard box levels, this masons version includes a protective plastic shield along the profile designed to absorb repeated trowel strikes. This added protection significantly extends tool life during bricklaying and blockwork applications where contact with metal tools is unavoidable.

The reinforced aluminium profile features strengthening ribs and reinforced upper and lower sides, delivering outstanding rigidity over its 122cm length. Reduced flex ensures consistent accuracy when checking long brick runs, lintels, formwork, or timber framing.

Accuracy is a hallmark of the 196 series. The three high precision acrylic vials are permanently moulded into the frame to ensure long term calibration stability. The layout includes:
