Each tape is designed around a wide 32mm blade that stays straighter for longer, helping with one-person measuring where narrower blades collapse early. The blade uses double-sided black print on a high-visibility yellow background, making it easier to read whether you’re measuring at floor level, vertically up a stud, or overhead.

At the business end, the oversized Beast Hook is made to bite onto a range of materials and edges more confidently—handy when you’re hooking onto rough timber, metal studs, or sheet edges. To protect the part of the blade that takes the most punishment, Stanley adds BladeArmor® coating to the first 16cm, reinforcing the hook connection area and improving abrasion resistance where tapes typically fail first.

Control matters too—especially with a wide blade that wants to recoil with force. The built-in finger brake gives better control during extension and retraction, improving handling and helping reduce snap-back wear.
